Pilot projects bring IPP 'to life'

Two pilot projects launched to improve a product's environmental performance and ensure its sustainability will bring integrated product policy 'to life', European Environment Commissioner Margot Wallstrom has said. The call for products to participate in the IPP pilot projects was made in the European Commission's June, 2003 communication on IPP. "We need more sustainable products and for consumers to choose to buy them, and I am delighted that two big European companies support this approach," Wallstrom said on 25 June, welcoming the two projects' selection.
