Members of the European Parliament's environment committee have now tabled amendments for the future EU chemicals regime REACH'S second reading. The committee will discuss the amendments at its meeting on 4 October ahead of a vote the following week. The key issues of substitution and other parts of the authorisation procedure are still open and negotiations between the parliamentary groups to reach a compromise are ongoing.
