A declaration from the European Commission the day before MEPs were due to clear two laws on fluorinated greenhouse gases ('F-gases') in plenary has angered the European Parliament and prompted Irish conservative Avril Doyle, who drafted the assembly's opinion on the proposals, to seek and gain the vote's postponement.
