How much a product contributes to greenhouse gas emissions could be emphasised on the soon to be revised ecolabel, a European Commission official said this week. "What we might want to do is to highlight the carbon labelling side of the ecolabel in any product," the official, from DG Environment, told EE & PL. "Everyone is obsessed with carbon labelling.rn"We are thinking about the European ecolabel and how it deals with greenhouse gases in our criteria and if this can help with carbon labelling," the official continued. "However we do not know if we will extend the ecolabel to carbon."
