Switzerland should implement REACH law fully, says ministry

Switzerland should completely harmonise the new chemicals regulation REACH (the registration, evaluation, authorisation and restriction of chemicals) into national law, even though it is not part of the EU and does not have to do so. That was the view of the Swiss federal office of the environment (OFEV), following the results of a survey it commissioned to consultants KPMG on possible options: no adaptation, partial adaptation or full adaptation of REACH into Swiss law.
