Carton industry signs agreement on wood traceability

Leading players of the beverage carton industry have signed a commitment to achieve 100 per cent traceability of all wood used in their manufacturing plants.rnThe agreement, launched this month, has been welcomed by Environment Commissioner Stavros Dimas, Commission Vice President Guenter Verheugen, MEPs active in climate change and forest governance and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF).
