Malaysia irked by EU biofuel rules

EU proposals to regulate biofuel imports are not compatible with World Trade Organisation (WTO) rules in their current form and discriminate against Malaysian palm oil, Malaysia's Commodities Minister Peter Chin told Reuters this week. "The EU is now trying to put in place legislation that has elements of discrimination that are counter to the principles of the WTO, which promotes fair trade," Chin said.
