Comitology is not the way forward, says UK MEP

Dealing with legislation via comitology has not been a success, according to UK Conservative MEP Caroline Jackson. Speaking in Paris at the waste framework directive conference last week (see story above), Mrs Jackson admitted she was allergic to "the secret process in favour of the European Commission that is comitology with scrutiny".
