Belgium: Wallonia amends its waste legislation

The Belgian region of Wallonia has notified to the European Commission its decision to amend a 2002 waste decree in a bid to prevent waste and reduce landfill use.rnThe draft law introduces an obligation for the retrieval of nine "waste generating products", including batteries and accumulators, used tyres, waste paper and waste electrical and electronic equipment "with a view to their further use or management".
