Dangerous petrol gas must be trapped, agree MEPs

Harmful petrol vapour which escapes during car refuelling at service stations will have to be captured and recycled following a deal reached with the European Council, and confirmed by the European Parliament in Strasbourg on 5 May.rnThe vapour is considered particularly harmful as it contains cancer-causing benzene, and contributes to the formation of ground-level ozone (smog) - one of the air pollutants most damaging to human health and the environment.
