Confectionary maker Cadbury has announced that it is collaborating with dairy farmers to reduce the carbon footprint of its milk chocolate after discovering that milk production contributes to just over 60 per cent of its emissions.rnThe discovery - the result of an examination by the Carbon Trust - has led to a pilot programme working with dairy farmers in Selkley Vale in Wiltshire and Gloucestershire, providing practical advice to help them reduce emissions.rnThe move forms part of Cadbury's 'Purple Goes Green' initiative, in which the chocolate maker has committed to an absolute reduction in carbon emissions of 50 per cent by 2020.
