Cadbury targets energy reduction

Cadbury, which has 80 sites around the globe, plans to cut its carbon dioxide emissions by 50% by 2020 through saving energy, switching supplies and offsetting. It is on target to cut its energy intensity by 10% over the next two years as the first step in cutting its 1 Mt carbon footprint in half. Working with partner TAC both in the UK and overseas has enabled Cadbury to accurately measure the energy output from numerous sites with a view to sharing that data and best practice across the business.
