The proposed new industrial emissions directive is generally a good development for the waste sector, Jacques Hoffenberg from Waste Denmark told EE&PL this week. Hoffenberg said that industry welcomed the extension of the directive's scope to more waste treatment operations.rn"In Denmark we have regulation for all waste treatment operations but other member states do not have an IPPC [Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control]-type regulation," he said on 18 February. "We therefore welcome a harmonisation of standards for the treatment of waste."
