EU's GM move kickstarts Danish GM-free campaign

A coalition including Organic Denmark, the Danish Beekeepers Association, farmer organisation Frie Bonder - Levende Land, and organic dairies Thise and Naturmolk have launched a joint campaign to keep Denmark's fields free of genetically modified (GM) crops.rnThe campaign was started in response to the European Commission's proposal that it be left up to individual member states to decide whether GM crops approved by the EU may be grown in the country's fields.rnThe first step taken by the coalition was to place a two-page advertisement in agricultural publication Land & Liv, which is circulated to over 100,000 registered farmers.
