The European Commission has fuelled further doubts over the environmental viability of biofuels with the release of a formerly withheld document highlighting the negative impact of biodiesel.rnSeen by EE&PL, the anticipated document indicates that biodiesel - commonly made domestically from rapeseed oil - has the highest overall environmental impact of all biofuels due to land use changes in the EU. Moreover, the report finds that "no emissions reductions appear in all cases for biodiesel when compared to their fossil fuel substitutions".
