US: EPA seeks more information to identify nanomaterials not needing regulation

While the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has regulated nearly every nanomaterial with a chemical notice, the agency would like more information, such as hazard, exposure, physical and chemical property data, to identify those that do not need regulation. That was the message of Jim Alwood, programme manager in EPA's Office of Pollution Prevention and Toxics, last week.
