Commission adopts ecolabels for computers and paper

Personal computers (PCs) as well as printing and graphic paper will be able to carry the EU's daisy symbol ecolabel in future, after the European Commission adopted two decisions setting out the criteria. The 9 June decision granting the ecolabel to PCs was published in the EU's Official Journal at the end of last week (OJ L 151 of 10.6.2011) and covers desktop computers but not notebook (or laptop) computers, small-scale servers, work stations, gaming consoles or digital picture frames.
