Potocnik launches eco plan for jobs and growth

European Environment Commissioner Janez Potocnik launched the Commission's long awaited Eco-Innovation Action Plan on 15 December to boost development and investments in environmental technologies as part of "Europe 2020". The new scheme, the successor of the 2004 Environmental Technologies Action Plan (ETAP) which will expire shortly, will have a broader remit. It will look at green technology but also address innovation bottlenecks, policy concerns and sustainable production.
