Falkenberg hedges on publication of nano definition

DG Environment supremo Karl Falkenberg last week stepped back from Commission pledges to MEPs to publish a definition of nanomaterials in the coming weeks. Earlier this month, DG Environment's Patrick Murphy told the European Parliament's Environment, Public Health and Food Safety Committee that publication of the definition was "imminent," meaning within a few weeks (see EE&PL, September 14, pi3), but now Falkenberg has warned not to expect it any time soon.
