The grim scale of fly-tipping has been revealed in figures showing everything from asbestos to dead family pets are being dumped across the Welsh landscape - costing the taxpayer almost £3 million a year to clean up. A breakdown of fly-tipping figures reveals how in a single year 302 animal carcasses were illegally dumped around the nation. And last year the haul of fly-tipped material included 14,209 black bags, 470 broken car parts, 210 drums of chemicals, oil and fuel, and 96 separate amounts of dangerous asbestos.
