Member states were split down the middle on two genetically modified organism (GMO) approvals last week, and came within a hair's breadth of securing a rare approval on another variety. Sources indicated that member states came within four votes of securing a qualified majority vote (QMV) on Pioneer's GM maize variety 1507.
