Informal Council tackles water and climate change

Proving that the issue is high on the agenda, not only that of the European Parliament but also that of the Commission and the member states, water was a key topic at last weekend's informal meeting of EU environment ministers in Nicosia, Cyprus.Their discussions at the 7-8 July meeting should feed into the Commission's blueprint to safeguard Europe's water resources.
