Ciolos eyeing global targets for agriculture at biodiversity summit

EU Farm Commissioner Dacian Ciolos has in an exclusive interview with our sister publication Agra Europe called for a "global effort" to promote sustainable agriculture and create jobs in rural areas as he heads into the final discussions of this month's Rio+20 Earth summit in Brazil. While they would not be legally-binding, the principal of setting Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is supported by the EU, says Ciolos.
