Climate change to hit Scandinavia and the Med hardest, says EEA

Climate change is likely to have the strongest impact on Scandinavia and the Mediterranean countries, according to projections released by the European Environment Agency (EEA) on 3 May. Denmark, Norway and Sweden which currently have one of the highest qualities of life amongst developed nations, can expect temperatures to rise by more than 6 Degrees Celsius in the next 70 years, warned the EEA, while the Mediterranean basin and parts of Eastern Europe will also see much bigger changes than elsewhere. All areas are expected to see average annual temperatures at least 1.5℃ warmer than the period 1960-1990.
