US: NGOs urge FDA to grant ACC petition to ban BPA in baby bottles and sippy cups

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) should grant an industry petition to effectively ban the use of bisphenol A (BPA) in baby bottles and sippy cups, but should also move to prohibit the controversial plastic additive from an array of other products, according to comments submitted to the agency by the Consumers Union and the Center for Progressive Reform (CPR).
