The European Environment Agency (EEA) and the European Commission have launched the Climate-ADAPT website to help policy makers and practitioners respond to climate change challenges associated with rising temperatures like changing precipitation, melting glaciers, ice and snow, rising sea levels, and more frequent and intense floods and droughts. The idea behind the website is to provide a continuously-updated database of adaptation strategies and measures at the transnational and country level. There are also case studies on initial adaptation measures at local and sub-national level as well as potential future adaptation options, methodologies and maps, on impacts, vulnerabilities and risks from a range of EU research projects.
