US: Californian GM critics call for labelling

In California, following the campaign at state level (see story above) pressure is also mounting to achieve full labelling of genetically engineered (GE) food products. A group of organic companies and biotech opponents are seeking the required number of validated signatures, under California law, for a ballot initiative to be voted on in November.
