Commission consults on financing for energy efficiency

One day after EU energy ministers failed to back binding energy efficiency targets at last week's Energy Council, the European Commission launched a consultation on "financial support for energy efficiency in buildings". The consultation, open from 15 February to 15 May, asks stakeholders for their opinion on the barriers to energy efficiency, such as market failures, lack of access to financing, or a difficult EU regulatory framework.
