UK manufacturers call for radical approach to waste

The UK's manufacturers association EEF has slammed the UK's out of date waste legislation, limited access to facilities and looming resources crunch and is calling for a more ambitious approach to waste management. According to a recent EEF survey of senior manufacturing leaders, 80 per cent of respondents said they regard a shortage of raw materials as a risk to their business, with many of them identifying it as their top risk. One in six companies says a shortage of raw materials is now a brake on growth.
