Welsh retailers oppose reusable plastic bag tax

Welsh retailers have slammed the proposed charge for reusable bags for life, branding it "perverse". The Welsh Retail Consortium (WRC) said it opposed the proposal to extend the current levy on single use plastic bags to reusable ones (see EE&PL of 6 November), insisting it is wrong to penalise customers for buying and using reusable bags.
