The UK's Waste and Resources Action Programme (WRAP) is adamant that there is "a real appetite" for more 'circular' business models, particularly for manufacturers of household appliances, consumer electronics, DIY (do-it-yourself) and gardening equipment. In its late October report, WRAP said that while consumers still prefer owning new products, there would nonetheless be a demand for repair and rental services. Consumers would also be ready to trade in or purchase second hand items if they came from trusted retailers.
