Container recycling up 17 per cent in Chile

Collection and recycling of empty pesticide packages increased by 17 per cent in the first half of 2013 to some 137 tonnes, according to the crop protection industry association, Afipa. Some 468,000 empty containers were collected. Most recycled containers are used as an "alternative fuel source," Afipa said.
