US: Miami International Airport expands recycling programme

In a bid to do its bit for the environment, Miami International Airport is launching a recycling programme to ensure that recyclable materials like bottles, cans and cardboard food containers do not end up in landfill sites. While up until now recyclable materials were only collected in the office areas of the airport, under the new programme, following a recycling contract signed with Ecological Paper Recycling, packaging waste discarded by passengers on the airport's concourses will also be collected.
