MEP Liotard says EU opening door to GM meat and fish

Dutch leftwing MEP Kartika Liotard has hit out at the European Commission for opening the door to genetically modified (GM) meat and fish in Europe. In a statement on her website, Liotard pointed to guidance on risk assessment for GM animals that the European Food Safety Authority published earlier this year, as well as a letter from the Commission and accused the EU executive of opening the door to fish, meat, milk and other food products from GM animals.
