Following the recent report Going for Growth by the Environmental Services Association (ESA) on the benefits of the circular economy (see article this issue), the UK's Resource Minister has said the government supports a shift towards an economy based on reuse and recycling. In a keynote speech at a 10 June conference in London, Lord de Mauley also praised the ESA for having taken a "leadership position" on the topic with its report which states that "The circular economy is the best long-run approach to return the UK to sustainable growth" and will create £10 billion of investments.
