Belgium's packaging recovery scheme Fost Plus again proved its place at the top of the recycling tree - by recycling 87.5 per cent of its packaging waste in 2013, it announced this week. Fost Plus managing director William Vermeir told journalists on Monday that with this 87.5 per cent rate, meaning some 678,478 tonnes of recycled packaging, there had been a small drop in recycling results in comparison to the 2012 figures (-0.9 per cent).
