EPA Sends Proposal to Revise Standards For Carbon Monoxide to OMB for Review

The Environmental Protection Agency Dec. 22 sent a proposed rule that could call for the first revi sions to the air quality standards for carbon mon oxide in 39 years to the White House Office of Manage ment and Budget for review.rnThe proposed rule would fulfill EPA's statutory re quirement to review and, if necessary, propose revi sions to the national ambient air quality standards (NAAQS) for carbon monoxide every five years.
