Martin O'Malley has until June 1 to sign or veto the measures.rnAmong the bills passed, H.B. 72 would authorize the Maryland Department of the Environment to levy new permit and production fees on oil and gas producers to help fund a regulatory program to oversee the drilling, development, production, and storage of oil and gas wells.
