Ted Kulongoski (D) March 18 signed legislation (H.B. 3680) to reduce the state's renewable energy tax credits and another bill (S.B. 1059a) to develop a statewide strategy to reduce greenhouse emissions from transportation.rnThe Legislature passed the bill curbing renewable energy tax credit in February with little opposition (41 ER 450, 2/26/10).rnUnder the current program, personal and corporate income taxpayers can claim tax credits for renewable energy projects for up to 50 percent of eligible costs over five years. Such projects have a cap of $20 million.
