Nuclear Regulatory Commission Issues Second Report on Yucca License Application

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission on Sept. 1 issued the second of three expected reports on its review of the Energy Department's license application for a high-level waste repository at Yucca Mountain in Nevada, which has been abandoned by the Obama administration. The technical evaluation report documents the work the NRC has done to date on the license application so the agency will have a formal record of the license review.
