Coalition Unveils Study as Model to Build Global Supply Chains for Aviation Biofuel

SEATTLE—Leaders from the aviation industry and academia announced a goal May 25 to expedite creation of commercial supply chains that will sus-tainably provide aviation biofuel in the Pacific Northwest as a first step in a global web of such chains. The vision of Sustainable Aviation Fuels Northwest (SAFN) is laid out in Powering the Next Generation of Flight, a study unveiled at a news conference at SeaTac International Airport. Billy M. Glover, vice president of environment and aviation policy at Boeing, a sponsor of SAFN, called the group's study "a great model [that] can be adopted worldwide."
