摘要

The Doe Run Resources Corp. and the Missouri Department of Natural Resources have agreed to conduct a removal action to address lead contamination at a state park in eastern Missouri, the Environmental Protection Agency said March 25. The agreement, which was filed administratively with EPA, focuses on a 1,240-acre portion of St. Joe State Park, Missouri's third-largest state park, located around 65 miles south of St. Louis. The site is also known as the Federal Tailings Pile Superfund Site, a sub-site of Big River Mine Tailings Superfund Site, which is on EPA's National Priorities List for cleanup of hazardous lead.
