Air Board Tests Allowance Auction For Emissions Cap-and-Trade Program

The California Air Resources Board Aug. 30 tested the allowance auction designed for the state's greenhouse gas emissions cap-and-trade program. While the real auction is still months away, the trial run offered the state's major sources of greenhouse gases a chance to learn how the system will work and gave regulators an opportunity to test the system.
