EPA to Remove Fort Dix Landfill Site From List of Most Contaminated Sites

The Environmental Protection Agency said in a final rule published July 25 that will remove the Fort Dix landfill superfund site in Pemberton Township, N.J., from the National Priorities List (77 Fed. Reg. 43,529).In the direct final rule, EPA Region 2 and New Jersey said that all necessary actions had been taken at the site under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act, except for operation, maintenance, and five-year reviews.
