Biofuel Industry Groups Defend EPA In Renewable Fuel Standard Lawsuit

Biofuel industry groups filed a court motion seeking permission to intervene on behalf of the Environmental Protection Agency in lawsuits challenging its renewable fuel standards (American Petroleum Institute v. EPA, D.C. Cir., No. 12-1139, motions filed 4/6/12). The Advanced Biofuels Association, American Coalition for Ethanol, Advanced Ethanol Council, Biotechnology Industry Organization, Growth Energy, and Renewable Fuels Association filed the motion in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit April 6. The National Biodiesel Board filed a separate motion to intervene on behalf of EPA.
