EPA Releases to Congress Portion of Data Used to Justify Key Air Pollution Rules

The Environmental Protection Agency has provided to Congress some of the data related to a key air pollution study evaluating the health effects of fine particulate matter, a Senate aide told BNA Aug. 20. EPA released on Aug. 19 a portion of the data used for a 2009 study on the impacts of fine particulate matter on life expectancy in the first of what is expected to be a series of responses to requests for information from Sen. David Vitter (R-La.), an aide to the senator said.
