摘要

The latest round of United Nations climate talks got off to a slow start June 3 in Bonn, with a procedural issue delaying the start for several hours. Delegates said hopes are still high that the meetings will make progress in certain key areas heading into the year-end climate summit in Poland. Delegates and observers said they expect to see progress on language related to a future agreement on loss and damage in poor countries related to climate change, as well as on the form of the 2015 agreement for which two general camps are emerging: one around a proposal from the United States and another from the European Union.
