EPA Sends White House Proposed Rule On Effluent Guidelines for Power Sector

The Environmental Protection has sent its Glean Water Act proposed rule on effluent guidelines for power plants to the White House Office of Management and Budget for interagency review. The agency is under an April 19 deadline to propose the effluent guidelines after a coalition of environmental groups agreed to a third deadline extension in December. EPA and the environmental groups agreed to a May 22, 2014, deadline for a final rule in the most recent extension.
