This index is a compilation of the headnotes from all covered cases, arranged by classification number. To find the appropriate classification number, consult the Topical Index (p. 21), or the Classification Guide (p. 51). Within each classification number, headnotes are arranged by court, according to the following sequence: (l)U.S. Supreme Court; (2) Federal circuit courts, with the circuits listed in numerical order, preceded by the Federal Circuit and the District of Columbia Circuit. (3) U.S. district courts, listed in alphabetical order by state, and within each state by section of state, where applicable (Territories appear after all the states).
