A bill to help finance water infrastructure has a "fair shot" of being included in final legislation to reform U.S. Army Corps of Engineers projects, the top Democrat on the House water resources subcommittee said April 8. Speaking at a conference of the Association of Metropolitan Water Agencies, Rep. Tim Bishop (D-N.Y.), ranking member of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Subcommittee on Water Resources and Environment, discussed legislation he introduced in May 2013, the Water Quality Protection and Job Creation Act of 2013 (H.R. 1877), that would provide financing water infrastructure projects.
